Old Iron 2.0

Didn't get the hood latch cable/ pull knob or E-brake junk removed today. Maybe tomorrow.

Gonna look at swapping my B52's side to side tomorrow morning so I can use my 56" springs.

My Craigslist searches for some 52" springs have left me empty handed and I'm too lazy to go look for a truck in the yard at this point.

Skullcrusher on YouTube swapped his B52's side to side and ran 56's with 7.25" shackles (which I just so happen to have 2 pair of those sitting in the garage).

Looks like if I swap the B52 brackets side to side that 4 of the bolt holes will line up or be very close.

Your tires got stolen?

Might just catch that front bolt hole. And I actually like the fender color depicted in the photo, a darker almost wine color. I vote that if you paint it

Tires didn't get stole.

Tried swapping the B52's around and it wasn't gonna happen without basically all new holes and the removal of the bottom flange of the frame rails... that's not happening.

I took the opportunity while everything was off to take a flapper wheel and wire wheel to the frame rails and B52's. Shot paint and it will all go back to how it once was here shortly.

Why are you messing around with these rear springs up front anyway? What's your end result you're looking for?

Why not 52s?
I'll be sticking to 52's up front (thats what is currently up there). One of my main leaves has a crack in it and I haven't really went out and looked for a replacement set if springs (been lazy) but I have some 56" springs in the garage which were originally being used with the shackle flip. Was gonna put those under but to make that work would honestly be taking a step in the wrong direction.

@obijuank5 do you have a build thread? I thought you did but can't find it. I was going to link the Skull Crusher Adventure Video you're in

with a crazy toddler i cant keep up with a thread but they are all lost photos now. but SPOILER i run 47s. procomp 6" fronts.
glad yall like the video, it was taken in like february lol

which in my situation, is where its at.
my springs are available next day and i have warranty that i will probably never use.

I see.

I will say offset front springs really mess with the pinion angle. Much worse than centered ones.
That's one of the reasons I really didn't want to put them up there... I don't know if shims would be enough to fix the angle once they were in.

Plan is to call this local spring shop tomorrow and see if they'll make me a set of military wrap main springs.

Called Alcan and they said roughly $200 if I ship the main spring to them.

Gonna see what the local shop is asking first and decide from there.

It was pretty cool seeing a video of Ryan's truck in action. I've only seen pics of his.

Are they a softer spring like the Tuff Country ones? Do they have different soring rates available or just whatever they keep on the shelf?

Have a P/N and price for the springs?

I've looked at BDS too, I've heard good things about them? Thoughts?
