dang that's hardcore really nice exo-cage.
looks like overkill to me. Guess he didnt figure to EVER run doors again. Dedication...
I agree, might as well made a all tube rig....but if he likes it thats all that counts.
Really is nice. What happens if he cracks/breaks the windsheild? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
That thing was still running the factory leather seats. Who's site is that? I didn't get to see him run the course. Rocks are still dry so it was mid morning. They probably ran about the time I went back for windows. Most of those pictures were taken from about the same place I was standing most of the day.
found it on webshots, grim.
That guy is trying to sell it on PBB. Look in the for sale section.
no interior cage makes in a non-issue, IMHO.
EXO's are not a subsitute for true cages.
i think he did an exo to help out the body and give it a frame to attach to... those things are unibody so when he took the doors out he lost all hope of having rigidity in his rig unless he did what he did... i think he did a nice job overall... sweet rig for a heep /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
First time I saw that truck it still had doors. It was pretty clean at that point. It has a few hits in the body though. It works really well the little that I have seen it.
I'm with you Zakk......that cage looks to be more "show" than go.....safety-wise.
There is nothing there to triangulate the exocage that I can see. It would have been nice to see some bars going diagonally through those doors openings to the opposite side.....
Wouldn't pass the "pipecleaner-push-on-it-with-your-finger" test at all!!! /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

not in a million years!
looking cool is one thing, having the vehcile perpared for a roll is quite another.
There was a goofball over on the PBB, and he a stock "hoop" on his Sammy. he explained that while it is not safe, it looks cool and he is a good driver /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif
There was also a pic of it almost on its side on a ledge with a passanger /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif
You could run doors but you would half to climb out of the window like a full race car LOL some times thats a drop on a lifted 4x4 though
just shave the doors and do it dukes of hazard style. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
shave the doors? you mean weld them shut? thats what I was talking about and DID YOU KNOW none of the general lee's doors were acutally welded shut
really i thought that they didnt open.guess they just used a lot of bondo to fill in the seems then.i got a friend with a charger.im trying to conveince him to do it up like the general lee. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
They have a seem they wanted you to think they were welded shut but they really just acted like they were is his charger a 69? they have kits fot make it look like a general lee now also DID YOU KNOW all except for like the first 3 general lees dident have a dixie horn they added it in after it was taped
I read that post. Every time he replied to a post he made all of the readers more stupid.
How does his wife get the groceries in the back?? /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif
.....at least he didn't weld any "strenthening bars" across the hood! DOH! /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif
