opinions on my transfer case?

i noticed my truck (85 k-10) has the NP208 transfer case...any opinions on this?...

just wandered how "rugged" it is, and if there known to last:confused:

It has an aluminum case so protect it well and I don't think you'll have any problems. It has a better gear ratio than most. If it has a slip yoke on the back then that may be a weak point. Mudboggers usually swap them for 205's because they want beef. Rockcrawlers on the other hand, like them because they want the better low range. May not last as long as a gear driven case because it's chain driven but if you keep the proper amount of fluid in it, it should last a long time.
