getting rid of rear blocks and i could use some help choosing a shackle flip. i've had good luck with products from both companies, any input would be great

Either or is good stuff. The DIY ones use a female end on both ends of the shackle. Making it easier to change shackles. Why thats a big deal for some people I have no clue, I mean how often do you mess with shackles once they are on? I run the ORD, and cant complain. Your biggest problem is removing the rivets, and that blows.

do a search.. this exact topic was discussed heavy about a week ago.. I prefer Kert's due to the external shackle...

cuz you can vary shackle length easily with different lengths, thus tune height vastly easier.. plus making those shackles is easy peezy, stock style, not so much...

I did mine several years ago on an 86' pickup and then switched it all over to my K5. I almost bought the ORD flip until a friend told me about DIY. I opted for the DIY set since it came in raw steel and I could paint to my taste, (not that you couldn't paint over the ORD kit). Also, making my own extended shackles was easier with the DIY kit.

With that said, all of my steering upgrades are through ORD and they are great guys to deal with...good packaging, prompt shipping and product support.

Good luck

thanks to everyone for their help, all good points, now i need some one to install them for me while i shovel snow. thanks

you could also build your own, but maybe thats not an option for you,, I have made several for different vehicles, but just pic one out of a magazine that looks
good , they all should be good quality
