Original dealer search

That's cool. Davidson was the partner to Lindner when they started the dealer where I work back in 1968. It was known then as Davison-Lindner Chevrolet. By 1976 the Lindners bought out Davidson.

Our dealer badges use the same script as those badges.

I'm not a fan of running them either but I do like finding obscure ones on cars at shows or in the boneyard. I wish I started collecting them as a kid because I'd have hundreds by now.
Davidson is still in Loveland. Now it's Davidson-Gebhardt. From what I understand the second name might have been a son-in-law.

First thing I always do it rip that shit off. They don't pay me. Why should I advertise for them?
Of course under that thinking I should debadge the whole vehicle.
But also because dealer badges are ugly.
At least the old badges were nicer than the new stuff. We also scrape the dealer stickers off. The ironic thing is we make thousands of dealership website stickers they like to stick on back windows.

I wish I could find the birthday of my truck so we could have a party every year.

Nothing really to add to the OP but i just have to share what was in the glove box of my 72 K5 for everyone viewing pleasure

My C10 still had the build sheet stuffed in the bottom of the bench seat. That had the dealer info that ordered the truck listed.

Mine was built Dec 7, 1990 in Flint Michigan.

Hmm, where would they commonly put the build sheet in an 84 Jimmy?

Could be anywhere--GM put the options list on the inner front fender on some trucks, others had it on the glove box lid,or stuffed in the seat springs..
I found the "paper" build sheet for my 81 G-10 van stuffed up inside a hole in the unibody rail up front,in front of the sway bar!..one day I was doing an oil change, saw something hanging out of the hole,at first I thought it was some old dollar bills rolled up...
I managed to extract most of it intact and was amazed to read it--despite being there almost 20 years, about 70% of it was in remarkable good shape ..:screwy:..
