Anybody know a good, trustworthy, and hopefully reasonably priced AC repair man in the North Valley? The old split unit in my house is not working so good and it needs a shot of freon at the least, maybe replaced...

Let me call my Dad tonight Russ. He just had his A/C replaced on his house here just a little bit ago. Go rent some swamp coolers and I can loan you my little portable one if that'll help. Good luck to ya in the future.

Call Brian @ Scneiders 602-404-5449 . Personal friend. He even helped me move . Did my inlaws house for me at a steal. Doesn't have a huge ad in the yellow pages, just good work at fair price. Licensed bonded etc. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

BTW if it is a smaller unit I have an air handler new lying around here for free to any ck5er

Wow, is this a cool, close community or what? /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Thanks for the offers guys. But we're doing ok. The main unit is not cooling, but we have dual units on each end of the house. We're basically using the smaller unit with fans to keep the whole house relatively comfy. The only problem is the dog leg master bed room, and I'm using my portable shop swamp cooler in there.

I'm thinking about getting the entire unit replaced. It's circa 1980 or so and looks pretty beat. Electricity savings will likely pay for a new unit in a few years, and when this thing kicks on, the lights dim! /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif I'll definitely call and get quotes from any of the recommended guys. But I'm hoping a shot of Freon will do short term...

I sell r22 at my parts store(appliances and a/c). I get 30 lbs at cost. Dirt cheap /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Ready Services 602-277-2653 Bud Baugh was the guy Mom and Dad worked with. They seemed happy with the end result. Hope this helps. Another bid into the mix if nuthin else. Good luck to ya.

At this point, it looks like I'll be working a deal with Jay.
