That’s exactly what I did. Unbolted it and slid it over. Was beating the crap out of it. Wouldn’t snap untill I cut almost all the way through. The backstory is, buddy got the jeep for free eighty five from his uncle with blown up front and rear gears. We had a line on a rear jk 44hd axle so we built that with an elocker. Problem is the front end is always connected so the gears were crashing when we tried to drive it. I figured quickest way to free wheel it would be to ditch the ring gear. Gonna dump some oil in it to keep the carrier bearings happy and send it.
