I'm probably gonna do the same thing one of these days. Of course, I'm a fan of blacked-out front ends, so I'm kinda biased.

BTW, you forgot to include a "Naked" option in your poll. That is against CK5 rules. Just thought you might want to know....... :rotfl:

I painted my whole grill assy. Black like that. I think yours looks Great! realy accents your paint and billet grille.

Sorry for the HIJACK!:D

I also painted mine. I decided to paint the the same color as my truck. The paint has been on a year and is starting to flake in some spots but its no big deal to re-paint them.

i told my friend bout my idea before i did it and he did it ticked me off but mine looks better ill get some pics of his. he painted them metallic red and the only red thing is the red pinstripe i told him should have done them white like youres hell ill get a pic of both of our trucks side by side they look sweet when we follow each other around town ha ha

I painted mine also, but dont know how they will look considering my front end is not installed. Those blacked out fronts look nice though.

any tips on how you did it?

As in did you scuff it up then primer then paint? Im interested in doing my entire front of the jimmy but i dont want the paint to peal in a week.

i sanded them with 220 down to the grey or atleast most of it then washed them then sprayed several heavy coats make sure it doesnt run though i put bout 4 or 5 coats :D

Same, but I wish I'd of bought 2 cans instead of 1. That 3rd coat would've made it look a whole lot better!
