So, I have recently had my 350 rebuilt. Runs great, I have about 650 miles on it. My trans was recently rebulit as well, although I have a leak. I took the truck into the guy that worked on the trans to look at the leak, turns out I did not seat the dipstick correctly and it is causing the leak, no prob, but the guy says that he is concerned that my engine is not balanced. WTF??? He had noticed a vibration when driving it and had noticed the rear main was leaking. I have now noticed that (1 im paranoid) and there is a fairly bad vibration when you have a handon my bumper (which is bolted direct to the frame). Mainly when it is at idle but just about at any rpm. I took the truck to the builder and asked if he noticed any unusual vib, and of course he said no. Took it to a gear head friend and he noticed it. 1st we removed the serpentine belt to eliminate the belts and pulleys, 75 percent of the vib went away, We looked at the fylwheel to see if it might be warped, no prob there. So now I dont know how much of the vib is normal. I have OEM motor mounts and was just hoping to get soime input from some chevy guys as to how much vib they feel transmitted thru the frame (or otherwise). Sorry about the rambling, and thanks for any info.
