This is such a stupid thing to ask for help with but I have exhausted all my attempts. I have a 1997 Chevy c3500 2WD regular cab and chassis that I'm rebuilding from the ground up. I'm about 80% done. I'm trying to find a parking brake pedal pad replacement. I've never seen one like this before. I got the pad off the pedal. The pad has 4 small mounting metal tabs (lack of better words). And the pedal has 4 mounting posts that seem to be permanently affixed to the pedal. I found 1 site that claims this pad is the "2nd style" from 1996 thru 1998. But I can't find anything that even comes close. It is rectangular shaped (not like the common wider at the top than the bottom). The measurements are about 2 3/8" tall and 1 7/8" wide. Any help anyone can offer would be appreciated. The old one is worn out and I'd like to replace it with a new one and not one from a pick-a-part yard. Thank you to anyone that has some insight on this.

It's weird, but with GM part number 15706041 you can find both trapezoid and rectangular versions for sale. Presumably this is a manual transmission truck. Don't forget to include clutch pedal pads in your search, as sometimes they are the same part. Is it crazy to swap the whole pedal out for one with a known pad? How about converting to a universal type pad, like the ones that bolt on?

There is no part number on the old pad. I should have mentioned that in the beginning. My truck has a 4 speed automatic transmission. I found new brake and accelerator pads and pedals with no problem. I'll take a couple of pictures and try to load them on this thread. I suppose I could replace the whole assembly, but haven't reached that point of desperation yet. :-)

You're contradicting yourself here. You're looking for the pad or you found them no problem? I would think you meant "clutch and accelerator pads", but you say it's an auto. You must have swapped dimensions because I've never seen an automatic truck with a brake pedal taller than it is wide.

I'm not trying to be harsh or argumentive when I say that I'm not being contradicting, you're not reading what I'm writing correctly. I'm trying to locate a parking brake pedal pad. That's all. There's no clutch. The measurement I gave of 2 3/8" tall and 1 7/8" wide, is for the parking brake pedal pad, not the brake pedal pad. It's the rubber pad for the emergency brake pedal. I've tried to upload pictures but haven't figured that out yet.

Yes, that's the lever. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I did check with steelerubber but not the other. I will do so now. Thanks for that.
