...yet another oil filter question. I have read every post relating to oil filter questions but I have one more. My gearhead neighbor told me to use an AC Delco PF1218 instead of a PF35 because "it has better anti-siphoning abilities". The filters look the same, cost the same...is he just yanking me or is their really a difference?

He is right. The anti siphon type filters help keep oil in the lube system from draining back into the pan. If you have a oil cooler you really should use one. They probabally aren't as important if you aren't runnning a cooler but using one shouldn't hurt. Those are the the type I usually use on my K5.
