Are they legal for street use in california? does anyone know?
Are they ones that cover the whole grill? Do you got a link?
ive seen tons of phantom grills running around on trucks in cal. I used to have one on my hammered s-10 blazer..
dont like the way they look on the full size rigs though.
umm, wuzza phantom grill?
I'm pretty sure that as long as all the lights are visible when they are turnedon, they are legal. I opted to keep the headlights exposed and only cover the parking lights when I got my billet grille. I think it looks better this way.
My friends dad has a 67 Camaro with one (from the factory, he's the orginal owner) and it's legal. But then again it might be because of the year....
Check out this website. This sweet rig has a Phantom.
If he'd only put normal wheels on it, boy would it be nice.
I see those grill's alot. They should be legal. It's the blackout covers the cops don't like /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif

Works fine for me.
I found a couple of places that have the grills for 289$ plus shipping. The manufacturer is TRENDS (?) I think. I'm ordering mine this winter. I'm also looking into the Hella headlight coversions if I can get the low/highs to work so you dont have to take the grill out to replace a bulb! Good luck, J www.jjlaughner.com/truck/
