I'm trying to decide what color to paint my truck and I'm going to be rolling on rust-oleum and having trouble deciding based off looking at trucks on here because I don't know which are actually rust-oleum rolled on. Anyways I know theres alot out there so I thought It'd be cool to see a large thread of all the different Rustoleum paint jobs! So lets see em!

Well, here's mine. I stripped the body panels for the most part with an air sander but there was still some surface rust spots. Then I sprayed one coat of "chassis saver" black that is a moisture cure polyurethane to seal out the rust. After sanding that I did two coats of a PPG Shopline high build urethane primer sanding between coats. After some wet sanding I sprayed two coats of Rustoleum flat black thinned with acetone. Acetone seemes to thin better than mineral spirits. It was hard to get the gun to lay it real smooth, but again it was a $100 craftsman HVLP, acetone and rustoleum. Heres the pics. The paintjob hasn't been "tested" yet, im still finishing the build. No pics of the chassis saver.

I just finished painting my second coat of the Rustoleum Proffesional Gloss white. I'll post pictures of it when I get a chance. Im real happy with it.

mine is Rustoleum, Fresh Blue. I used it because the color matched the stock color well. I hate how long it takes to dry. you can still smell the paint a day later. I use krylon for everything that isn't light blue on my truck. you can spray Krylon and stick your finger on it immediately without any tackyness.

i always go with black on all my offroad beaters. black looks really good when its all beat to crap

I have finally figured out how to post these pics. Anyway just painted the Blazer with Rustoleum Gloss white & Orange. Still need to clean off polishing compound, other than that I'm done.

i just taped it of myself. sprayed the hood red first, then starting at the corner at the rear of the hood i stretched one piece of tape all the way across to the opposite side 8" in from the front of the hood ( if you look at the edge of the hood where the skin is folded over and spot welded, there is a notch in the sheet metal so the skin can be formed over the curve at the front of the hood. so thats 8" in from that point) then from the notch, i ran tape across to the rear of th hood 8" in. repeat to finish the X then with an x-acto knife i cut out the center of the X, covered up the rest of the hood with news paper and sprayed the X white.when dry, i used something like 1" wide tape along the edge of the X to mask off for the blue. for the stars it was quicker and probably the best solution to call up an automotive graphics place, i called a small time guy doin it out of his house. charged me $20 and he gave me enough to do 2 hoods and they were ready by the time i got down there so i figured it was worth it. colors were rustoleum saftey red, saftey blue and gloss white. cheap, did it in an afternoon, gave my truck attitude and turned out looking fantastic

I used rust-oleum spray in a cheap spray gun to paint this and it actually turned out really damn good.
