Nice Military cucv.. If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for it? Fort Hood has a bunch of 1009's I'd like to acquire one. Not to sure on how to get one. Where do I look for auctions on military vehicles? Thanks.
It's better to have it than to not need it, then to need it and not have it. !!!
WEll I paid 900 for it but it has no interior doors top motor trans transfercase etc.. AS far as where to find an auction I dont really know I just happened to be lookin in our local paper and seen an add for it 2 days before the auction..
A bud of mine piced one up in desert sand color. his was complete with about 20k on it. Was a deisel about 83 as I recall. He ended up paying $2,400 for his. If did have some problems when he got it. the worst of which was that they had picked up the vehicle with a fork lift and bent the front drive shaft. One of the alternators was also bad (they run two).
Diging it in the dirt with my K5's
Man, she's purty.
What the diff between civvy blazers and these m1009's as you guys call 'em?
I know there's a big difference between civvy Crown Vic's and cop Crown Vic's, so I'm juts curious.
Here's the link to the DRMS site where you go to find the stuff that is up for auction around the world.
There are a few Blazers on there that look OK, but they are in Germany. Most of the ones that come up in the US are just parts trucks.
