PLAN B

This build was 2 parts 1 i have a truck I made to pretty to wheel so I'm building an ugly one I can actually enjoy. And 2. My cousin has been trying to join us for blazer bash but his truck wont be ready so we are surprising him with this one
Both trucks back home. The driveline fixed it. I think i have a new problem though... I keep getting a slight smell of antifreeze in my cab... I have a feeling my heater core is leaking. Looking at the box and I see some stains and ripping off the cardboard i can smell that it smells like coolant. I just can't tell if the previous owner had a core leak or if this is new. It feels maybe slightly damp but it could also just be cold...

If you are smelling antifreeze in the cab then it's most likely gonna need a heater core. Get two pairs of these and you can clamp off the heater hoses for a while and see if it gets better. They are handy to have if you ever blow a core or hose anyway and want to quickly clamp off that part. https://www.amazon.com/GearWrench-3791-Pinch-Off-Pliers-Capacity/dp/B000RLJABW?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_3

That's what I love about this site, I never knew those existed. I've improvised with needle nose vise grips with hoses around the jaws.

Yep these are awesome. They can clamp a hose and hold it clamped and they will not damage it like vise grips tend to do. They have many sizes. I typically have 2-4 of them in the common size for heater hoses. You can find them at any tool truck or usually order them from a parts store also. The ones I have at work are actually the 3792 from Gearwrench. Made in USA. That 3791 I posted is probably smaller.

I got mine from harbor freight, vise grip with the same jaws as these.
I love them
I was able to use them on my air lines in the truck when I blew an air bag.

I need them for my 66. With the gas tank in the cab, if you pull apart the fuel line it just starts gravity draining the entire tank.

Here's to a little more weight and space savings. I can now ditch my huge all in one compressor/jump box that I secretly hated anyways lol

I have this one too, but I found better.
It only gives you about 3-4 seconds then you have to charge it again.
I got the 3000 a so I can jump my big rig but, it will not do well if there's a problem, only one shot.
I got a better one and it's only 2000 a but it will do much more, for longer and it twice the weight and size

What did you get? This one is the 3000 also.

This one is way better.
I got it when they had it on sale so I paid $90.

I also got some from harbor freight and those are 450 a but they do a great job and they can start a car 8-10 times and still have some juice to charge a phone and use the flashlight, but I only buy them on sale for $59, they are now this week.

I have the NOCO 2000 as well. Seems to work good!

Using my quarantine / social distancing time to hammer out some of the less desirable projects. Between the frame patch, steering brace and hydro assist i feel like my steering is durable enough to put up with hard wheeling with the 40s. I was surprised, not a single crack on the frame....
