PLAN B

This build was 2 parts 1 i have a truck I made to pretty to wheel so I'm building an ugly one I can actually enjoy. And 2. My cousin has been trying to join us for blazer bash but his truck wont be ready so we are surprising him with this one
Just thinking about the wheel color and maybe blue isn't that crazy of an idea... i did have these wheels done red on my last car...

I put red wheels on a white Baja bug several years back. While I was painting them several guys thought I was crazy for not doing white. White would have been fine but boring. Once they were on the car everyone loved the look and understood what I had in mind. Your red wheels look sweet!

I'm chomping at the bit to get this cage installed... I cleaned and painted anything I could beforehand and have done all the prep I can think of trying to get ready. Cage build days are the 22nd and 23rd. I have literally 2 days to wrap it up and get it back to my body guy or I will have to wait until the last weekend in July for my body guy to get back in town putting me into August to reassemble my truck.... everyone send good vibes that we can get this thing done in 2 days! Or better yet come over to Josh's shop and lend a hand! We have a bunch of grinders and 2 welders :)

Also used this waiting time to redo my grille with a modern vibe :D

Where'd the cage come from?

Can you taste the Pritchett yet?

I love the YT channel by the way. Its been good to watch
The cage came from DIY4X. Its a really solid starting point we can build off. The rest of the cage design is in @blazinzuk head.

And thanks! We have been having fun with it.

That's how I'd like to do a cage in the crew cab, but so far it's a "one of these days" thing. Be interesting to see how you all do it.

One of my favorite things to do is put the larger more recent bowties on the square body grilles. I also put one on the tail gate. I just think they look a little better and a little prouder.

Agreed. And I only want black, white, and silver on the truck so the gold had to go.

@the_blaze I saw your FB post about the floor plates and it made me B and C down tubes. The floor in my '91 had a small step right where the B pillar plate laid, I didn't like the gap it created so I had him make plates with a matching step in them so they fit flush all the way around. I also had him make my C plates larger so they fit the width of the ribs in the floor, I didn't want them partially on/off a rib or the edges hanging off over the low spots between the ribs.

None of this was a big deal and it all could have been fixed with flat bar as a spacer but it would have bugged me (especially since I have bare floors)
