I'm installing one in the rear (10B) but the new bolts are too long. I called Genuine Gear they said that this problem has never occurred before. They confirmed that these are the correct bolts for the installation. Has anyone ran into this problem before? Also the stock bolts are self aligning - I'm thinking that the diff. isn't threaded completely.

I dont have a polished cover but I replaced the bolts on the stock one with stainless ones and they threaded right in.

Front 10 bolt bolts are indeed longer as the covers are thicker , perhaps you have front bolts in the rear. Just put pretty washers under each bolt head /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif

BTW take a pick and clear the RTV out of the holes /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif
