I agree.
I am not saying that the cage couldn't have used some cross bracing and better connections to the frame but it did it's job and that is all that really count's here.
I really think that we get into over building our cages and at some point perhaps we do more harm than good with a stiff cage.
In a big wreck somethings has to give to slow the humans down inside at a rate that their bodies can withstand. Think Nascar, their cages are designed with a certain amount of give in certain areas.
Just my latest theory/opinion
