Does anyone know what size O-rings are on the power steering hoses? Im converting my truck to hydroboost and the o-rings on all of the hoses are a little ragged, so I would like to swap em. If anyone knows the size, or perhaps a p/n for a kit from napa or autozone, Id appreciate it. Its an 85 steering box/lines/hydroboost

You could measure them and try to match them up with what they have on McMaster. I'm not sure, but I assume they are viton. Just search on o-rings.

Call around to hydraulic places and what not, ask if they sell o-rings. Walk in there with the fitting and old o-rings, they should be able to hook you up. Found my GM Saginaw fuel line o-rings (probably same piece) that way, and a lot cheaper than through GM, which is another option.

Try Car Quest PSH 34951 or 34952 or kit number 34958. NAPA NPS 72587 or 72588 or kit number 72584

That better come with about a billion o-rings! I had to check myself, that sounded too ridiculous. :) Hydraulic place charged me like $.15 each when I bought mine.

I had the same issue with an o-ring letting go recently. ACE hardware had a suitable replacement. It was still a bear to bleed my PS cooler but at least possible now that the return hose is not sucking air.

Only thing I'd be concerned with is if they will hold up under the heat, pressure, and fluid.

Probably not an issue for PS, but I know the ones for the fuel injection side need to be say they are compatible with fuels, or they melt over time.

IIRC fuel injector o-rings are made of Viton. They are a pretty safe bet with most automotive fluids. But you can't go wrong with Teflon (PTFE) o-rings if you can find them.
