My 84 K/5 has the brake rotors pressed onto the hubs with the wheel studs, which means that turning or replacing the rotors requires that I remove the 300 foot -pound spindle nuts and replacing the rotors is not a simple swap because of the wheel studs. This design is nonsense just to do a proper brake renew. Did the aftermarket solve this problem with replacement hubs that allow the rotor to be removed without removing the hub ?

300 ft lb nut ? were you get that spec ?

easy to change the rotors . and great time to check and service the wheel bearings .

brass punch and mini 3-4 lb hammer pop out / swap rotor / pop back in . then recheck lug nut torque few times within 100 miles.

I don't recall were on here but a member did a 6 lug newer / bigger brake upgrade . with little r/d him self and made some parts .
