fwiw, one of those camp tents that people put up over pic-nic tables make a great anti-weather out-door collapsible garage. ;)
Yea, I though of that, but this K5 is being built with the $ I shouldn't be spending. So I'm going to put the $ I would spend on the tent thing into the truck. I've build 4 trucks this way already, why stop now?:haha:

Avery thanks for Subscribing, I have a couple low $ tricks up my sleave, that I hope to use.

I was just checking out my zero rates. I'm lovin them! I am going to take then to work tomorrow and have them powdercoated.

you can get 'em for $25.... to me that's worth it to keep the rain off. :)

Thats a 2 wheel drive stearing box (if I go that way) :haha: Working in the rain seems to drive me harder. I'm also kind of looking for a house with a barn. So every drop that hits my head, keeps me on track to it.:D But thanks, I was looking into then the last time.

May 20th. There, now you have a time frame. :D seriously though, if you need to give away any of the red interior trim pieces they would match my blazers interior. OK back on subjeect, I like that it already has dents.

I figured out what was up with my hydro assist so don't let that sway your decision on steering. the budget friendly way for you would be crossover, then eventually hydro assist.

full hydro would cost the same but you would have to get it all at once. whatever you do ditch the stock setup. you saw how lousy it was on Bluehen's rig when he got crossed up. sorry Jamie.:o

Subscribed :waytogo: I don't know how I missed this thread up to this point...I think I was expecting it to pop up in the garage.

I got alot done today! First pic is how we remove a emblem in PA. Then how we get to tranny bolts in PA. And the easy way to pull a motor. I got the motor in the Road Kill but nothing is hooked up yet.

Then Rich (Xtreme80gmc) came over. We got the tranny/t-case out, and both axels out of the K20. We ripped out anything that was worth saving on the K20, then cut her up. I torched the frame off from the cab back (was not hard rotted in two there). Then we loaded the cab/front frame onto the V3500. But by then it was to dark for pics. I'll get some tomorrow, it looks funny!:D

I wish I got a pick of you sitting in the K20, when it was on the ground. It looked like you were ready to go for a ride!:haha:

Yeah, they got me beat too....

I'll be keeping my eye on this thread. It'll get me motivated to work on my truck. And I have to work outdoors too, but this weekend was so danged gorgeous it felt good to be outdoors.

I put a bench seat back in and put on new wiper blades...now I fell a little inferior...

the progress looks good. Apparently this was the weekend to do some cutting.

Looks good. All I did today was get front marker lights, why I don't know. And take the Skyyk5 out toppless. But here is some more picks of yesterdays fun. They meen alot to me since the cab on top is the year I was born, and the dually is the year I moved to PA. Though it was funny. Also the green one was the old plow truck, and the dually has it's old plow.

Where are you originally from?
N.J.

Today I put the new clutch in, replaced the plugs, wired/plum the motor, put the manifolds on, mounted the hood, and put power to her. I couldn't start the motor since I need wires, rotor and cap yet. I also want to change the oil first. This motor has not been started in a year, I'm not scared though, I've brought back 350's that sat for 5 years. I cranked the motor over a couple of times just to make sure it was all wired. When the blazer got flooded it must have blown alot of fuses, some stuff works, other stuff does not. I hope to go through some of it tomorrow, if it rains. If it's nice out I have to get back to that horse barn.
