Project Snow Bear K20!

So with today's acquisition of an OD transmission, I can still go either way reliably now with the engine. So here's the options

5.3-nv4500-NP205 or...OR 4bd1t Diesel-4500-NP205. There might be a doubler in there somewhere. Not sure on that yet.

what's the spline count on the ford 205 input?

31 but it's just an input shaft swap to get 32 spline in there. Then use a spacer or drill and tap the ford case for the round Chevy pattern. Pretty easy as I will be going through the 205 anyway.

Do the Isuzu.... Please!

@Fordum that story about how you flipped in the ditch with your winch I will never forget! Epic!! :haha:

I'm leaning that way but I'm not so sure it's the smart move honestly.

Yeah maybe not...that diesel would be tits in a lighter truck. With what you have planned it sounds like you need to do a Duramax swap! :D

I would love to see you use it though!

It's not that I think it's a bad motor or anything I just feel like it will struggle driving it here. Even with the overdrive. I keep thinking if I turn it up and add a new turbo it might be ok.

Today's foray into town gathered a cool set of Alumium "Ultra" 17 wheels for my new axles with roller 315-85-17 tires. They aren't as tall as I would like to run but they will give me a good idea for moch up. Also found a set of new Headman headers for the 5.3 for 75.00....

Had a good long conversation this evening about some of my suspension parts needs. hope to have some on the way soon.

Woke up this morning and was going to start pulling the lift out of the truck before the snow came in. Too late, it was already a foot deep on the porch and blowing like hell outside. Guess I'll be sitting in the house scouting more parts today.

Been on the phone this morning getting all my suspension parts ordered. Going with Fortify Off-road to get all the mounts and links made. Great to work with. Bent lower links of 2'OD .250 wall DOM tubing. Should be plenty strong for what I am doing with it. Using an 18 degree bend in the tubes to give more clearance during compression. Man this gets complicated quickly ordering all the little bits and pieces.

Cool! If it works out get Steve and the crew to make a kit!

Time to start stocking up on Ford front ends before the get all bought up by CK5 members!

This is going to work and when it does....BOOM. I have been finding these axles online for 250 a piece. That's about as cheap as cheap gets. It takes a while to get all the parts in and work out the kinks but I foresee this being a big deal
