Alternator's still bad. but I have a spare.

and qjet needs a new accelerator pump. Anyone know what a rebuild kit runs or how bad of an install it is?

Q-jet rebuild ain't bad if the throttle shaft bushings are good. Usually run about $20 and they do come with new accelerator pumps. Mostly it's a glorified gasket set...

Did ya break anything?

Boy, can I relate to that! My garage space taker-upper, hasn't seen the light of day in atleast that long. And too think, it all started with a set of ball-joints. Figured: Well I got he shafts out, might -as-well stuff some gears in, than a locker. Now what do I do with the rear? Bext-thing I know, I'm puling the frame out...yadda-yAdda-yadda)

DUDE, THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT IT WAS TOO!!!

It was just a bad tranny. Well while I was waiting on it to get rebuilt, I came upon a killer deal on axles and tires. Had to lift to clear the tires. Needed a detroit in the rear if I was gonna bother with a 14BFF. Ran out of money. Decided to chop the back end off cause that is free RIGHT? WRONG. Bought a fuel cell. Some long travel shocks. Nice SS brakelines. Then a friend had a bender he'd let me borrow. Better build a cage while it's here. Then I need new seats to go with my cage. Yadda Yadda Yadda. Anyway finally my new tranny is in and running great. LOL

Btw, by letting it take this long and sourcing the good deals, i'm only up to about $4k in my rig so far. :)
