As far as I understand propane injection is for turbo'd diesels and doesn't really do much for NA diesels. Either way it's only supposed to be used as a power adder for hills, passing etc etc. It's not something you'd use constantly.

i actually forgot about the moving thing and posted in the diesel forum already lol but thanks bro! I am thinkingmaybe a CUCV blazer for my next 4x4. I am l;oving the mr goodwrench 6.2 in my 89 sctotsdale 3/4 burb mmm oh yes I am. Not a hotrod y any means but 17mpg w/ 3.73's makes me think with 4.10's in a CUCV and 31's-33's I will be doing great! anyway just curious about propane. figured it wasnt for me but didnt know much about it. I would love someday to get a crewcab dually 6.2 powered!!! and put a turbo on it. I am hooked on diesels well for some things. still would like 500 caddy for my 85 hotrod lol

that is correct....propane to a diesel is like nitrous to a gas motor.
Propane is injected upstream of the inlet side of the turbocharger and can safely add 100 HP or more depending on the application.
It is designed for use on turbocharged applications and is designed to be used on demand with a careful eye on exhaust gas temperature.

ah! Its crystal clear now. I will have to work on inding a 6.2 crew dually first lol and then a turbo lol may be a while have the 89 454tbi to fix up and bring back to life.
