Okay guys doing hydro assist next week but getting the new pump tommorow, should I just do the mods now, I am going wheeling on Sat morning, just hoping I won't have any problems with a modded pump and no ram on

Other thing is, cooler in the ps return line right?

One more question I can get a remote mount filter pretty cheap would it be worth it to mount this in to get the extra fluid capacity? It uses a standard 1 quart oil filter. I assume this would go in the return line too.

Correct me if I'm wrong guys because I'm new to the hydro assist world, but if no ram is used I would assume it would still be ok. Just would have more flow?

The cooler will go on the return line. I have a stock ps cooler and that's how mine is routed. Return line from steering box to cooler to return line on pump. I don't know if the return line would have enough pressure to pump through a filter though. Anyone have a filter on their ps?

The filter is fine on the low pressure side and that's where the ps cooler should be mounted as well.

Your pump (modded or not) will be fine with or without a ram.

Thanks guys when I get back on saturday I will report how it steered with a modded pump and no hydro. Now just got to find some fittings for the filter
