Pulled the Valve Covers.. FOUND THE PROBLEM *EDIT: stud replaced*

I just hooked up all my plug wires, filled the radiator back up, and turned her over. I didn't even bolt the valve covers back on, but just cranked it up to see how it idled. WOW.. idles soooooooooooo much better than it ever has.. no clacking under the hood anymore..Guys, I think I really solved the problem. The next time I'll have to tinker with it will be friday morning. I've had people say you can only adjust the valves when its warmed up, or only when its running....but from the way it ran just letting it idle.. I'm gonna leave her JUST HOW SHE IS Boy am I excited.. I'll let yall know after I get to give her a test drive friday.

You can adjust the valves hot or cold doesn't matter with hydraulic lifters.

Glad you found the problem....

I suggested via Messenger that you check the valve lash on 1/18/2006....

We just skipped past that part and continued to discuss possible timing issues

I'm surely glad that I finally found the problem. I was so dead set on it running great when it was pulled and sold to me, that I lost sight of the fact that it could be an internal issue. I can't wait to put the valve covers back on and go for a drive.. tomorrow morning
