Putting sm465 back with np205

I am ready to put the tranny and tcase back together but have a few questions. When i put it back should the top shifter be put together with a gasket or could i get away with a gasket maker, rtv black or somehting. Also when i put the tcase to tranny adapter could it go together with a rtv or do i need the gaskets?

I used silicone gasket sealer on mine.It seal up good with no leaks.

Rtv is fine, clean the surface though.
