Q-Jet Rebuild emergency question......

Ok, When I dissasembled my Q-Jet I took out the Adjusting Part Throttle meter rod adjusting screw. Now during re build I see the instructions say to not alter this setting!

Does any one know of a standard that I can start from to set this??

I think it is usually about 2 turns out.

Thas what most of the aftermarket ones ship at . If it has a flat spot or hesitates when you crack the throttle open from a stoplight , its not open enough . If it runs like a hot rod , back it off a bit to save gas
