quarts in 465 trans ?

how many quarts properly fills a 465 tranny ? im gonna fill through shifter top, not through fill plug hole

All I can tell you is "more than three". My arm got tired after 3 quarts. I'll finish filling it before I drive it. Maybe even today. I'm told it takes "4.2 quarts".

just over 4quarts as stated, i buy a gallon and a quart to top it off
