Hey guys, I'm working through my first restoration, 1972 K5. Working on rust repair, rocker box replacement etc. Quick question, I planned a good day of snow storm work for tomorrow in the garage and I'm a bit unsure about the Rear Cab Support Slip On unit I bought from LMC. Its clearly meant for the Pickup, but apparently can be used for 69-72 K5? The rocker box end cap bolts to the rear cab support, my original one is rusted, but appeared to have threaded nuts welded on the inside to allow the rocker box end caps to be bolted to them. This slip on replacement unit it very large and has no holes in it at all for the bolts. Do I need to drill hole in it, slip it over the old rusted support, weld it to the floor pan and bolt through it??? If it had threaded nuts welded to it I would probably just do that. I'm a bit confused, any direction is appreciated. I'm sure tons of people have done this, I'm just having trouble finding any info on them or any videos, thanks in advance- jeff

Also, if I am better off posting questions like this in a different place, please let me know, I'm very new to the forum, and forums in general to be honest

Thanks for mentioning my build in the company of Greg, Josh & Mike. Their builds were the one's I checked out the most to get the knowledge and confidence to take on such a huge task. My advice is patience
and using clecos when fitting a part. They help establish a zero point that doesn't move each time you remove your work piece, and holds it in place for fitting the next piece.
