2) Also, I have deleted the air pump and I want to get rid of all vacuum crap. Which vacuum lines do I absolutely need?

3) my timing tab has the teeth and a circle/hole. I imagine TDC is when the line is visible through the hole. How do I determine , say, 12*

1st picture right connector to Hei power.
Was this a tbi engine ?

only vacuum you need is brake booster, dist vacuum advance and heater ac

What was it ? CCC ? the 2 cavity plug has me thining temp sender or egr solenoid, knowing what the fuel control system was will help

It’s just a stock 1985 K5 5.0L, mechanical fuel pump, AVS2 carb

what was it when gm made it. I know it isn't the same now, or it would be obvious where the wires go, or if you need them.

It was just a 1985 K5 Silverado with 305, not sure other than that. It was not a Cali truck. Sorry I don’t understand

The 2 cavity plug looks like temp sensor to me too.
The one with the pink wire, looks like ignition wire into the distributor to me.
Is the distributor hooked up

I think the white 2-pin goes to the carb. It's for the dual-stage accelerator pump. This is one of the main reasons people mistake the mid-80's Q-Jets for "electronic" carbs.

Don't plan to delete "all vacuum crap". Look at each item individually and make a good decision.
