Does anyone run a dualie front d60 without changing hubs? Can you change hubs to the single hubs? Is it even worth it, seems like if you got the right back space on your wheels it would work? its for a 82 K1500.

If it dont work ill be building a 82 stepside dualie I think lol.

Not sure if you meant this... BUt there is about an extra 4" on each side of the axle. Stock SRW width is 69.5"(wms-wms) and the duallies are 77"(maybe 77.5")...

You can swap out the hubs and make your duallie D60 an SRW.... It's worht it if you need the narrower width...

You could run stock(unmodded) H1 rim with the beadlocks and it will bring you overall width out to just about the edges of your fenders. THis is a nice option. However you then either have to run spacers in the rear or find a D70 duallies rear axle that is the wider version to bring the rear out close to front widths.

yup what he said, i have seen a few guys who just use dullie rims with the dullie axle, sticks out a bit maybe bad for rocks and tight trails but it works none the less!

I havent seen any dually rims more than 7 or 8 inches wide, anyone know where you can get um? thanks guys

well i just thought of something they dont make a 15" dualie wheel? so if i want to run my new tires I need to use 15s i think ill just buy it and store it till i get the hubs are the rotors the same??? or do i need those too im pretty sure the calipers are the same.

I am not 100% sure, but I thought I read soemwhere that the rotors ARE the same. But check at Auto Zone too make sure...

no i have never seen a dullie 15, could always sell you rubber and get new ones you will lose some on this though

no rotors the same. one presses on with studs and other bolts on to hub. holes are diffrent size. but all other parts the same.

The DRW rotors will work for an SRW application, the DRW holes can be drilled out to the SRW size. Check the "Dana 60 bible" tech article on Pirate for the drill bit size.

FWIW, new SRW bearing hub & rotor assemlies can be purchased thru GMPartsDirect.com for about $240 shipped. If you go this route you can sell the DRW stuff and recover about half (sometimes more on Ebay) of the expense.

Wow, that sucks.

Who's the big D60 provider? Website or Ebay?

thats his ebay name...highhonda from pirate...

( I am not implying he is a bad guy...i've even bought from him)

well the yard will sell me the axle minus rotors and hubs for a discount so i think im gonna take him up on it for 500.00 its a 3:53 it used to be a backup for his tow truck what about the place that was in the d60 bible article do they still make em?

should try and talk him down..500 doesnt sound too good after you consider new bearings, gears, and hubs and rotors....maybe around 300

did you have them shipped? IF you bought them from gmpd..yes the hub and rotor are 114...shipping is now around 40.. ( thus the 300 a pair).they wont do walk in sales either I tried as I bought roughly 10 sets from them(had a trip that put me within 20 miles if them), now i go to the dealership :D .

This is a DRW D60 and a DRW D70 w/ unmodified H1 wheels. Works perfectly.
