Could someone tell me if there is a torque spec for knock sensores. ('88 350) Thanks in advance.
I found a spec in a 1994 GM truck service manual. It says 14 lb/ft for the knock sensor. It also says to only use a water based caulk for a thread sealant. Using teflon tape can prevent the threads from grounding to the block. That is what completes the circuit for the sensor, so you don't want to keep the sensor from being grounded.
