I am retarded. Just changed the fluid in my np208. It was more of a PITA than doing a axle swap, pulling a motor. I know I didn't do it right though. I poured the atf in a cleaned empty bottle of gear oil that had the little nipple. Then attached a piece of tubing. I spilt atf everytime filling up the little bottle, spilt 2 beers, one bottle broke. Atf evertwhere, driveway, garage door and floor. I'm an idiot! Frickin pain! First time changing it in over 14yrs. There is an easier way, I just don't have the righ tool. That happens with everything I do, not the right tool!

Man, as far having the wrong tool, thats a personal problem, can't help you there. Well, I suppose I could, but thats a good way to get shot in my neck of the woods.....

Everything in my truck except for the transmission uses 90W, but what I use would work just fine with ATF.

If I remember right, I got it from a Sta-Lube display at Pep Boys.
Its a simple little spring loaded pump that screws onto quart or bigger gear oil bottle.

Has a clear plastic hose with a black nozzle on the end with a piece that will go into just about any size hole and lock it into place.

Then you just push down on the plunger like a liquid soap dispenser and the fluid pumps right in.

It handles my rear end and transfer case.

If I were going to do it a lot, I would buy a more substantial one made out of steel that holds about 5 gallons or so, but this does the job for me.

X2 thats what I use.

SOB, I used to have one of those. I forgot what it looked like. Thanks, going to buy one. Thanks bud!!!!

That pump is nice. I would pay for one of those hand pumps everytime!!! I'm going to get 2 tomorrow. One for the house and one for the trail repair box I keep in the rig.

I was thinking about how I used to have one of those pumps when I was using a turkey baster.

For fluid transfer I use a siphon pump. Kinda looks like a grease gub with the pull handle on one end and a hose on the other end. Basically if you insert the hose into whatever fluid you need to transfer then pull on the handle it sucks the fluid into the canister and then when you push the handle back in it dispenses the fluid.

If you baby that little plastic pump they will last for a long while. I'm particularly careful with mine, keep it stored in it's own empty antifreeze bottle thats had the top cut off it. I've had it for years now and I just used it today to fill the 14 bolt.

Convert an air tank into a air pressured fluid pump. Easy, works awesome. All you have to do is pull the fill plug and wait. Been using one in the shop for years. Only costs as much as an air tank and some small hardware.

I did the same thing a while back. Laying in the driveway the night before a trip with ATF all over me and all down the driveway cursing the stupid fill plug that's so close to the bottom of the floor it won't let you tip a jug in it.
I too ended up saying forget it and ran to AutoZone and got one of those cheap plastic pumps everyone else is using.
