I have a really good female friend that is a true testament to the human spirit. She lost her mother last year in a motorcycle accident, her father was just sent to prison for sexually molesting her younger sister for years. She is a single mother (she had her baby when she was only 16). She's been on her own for a while now and I was lucky enough to have her on my wrestling team. She was the epitomy of a pit bull. She'd attack boys at her 103 weight class with a vengeance and she trained with all of her heart and soul. Most days, she trained twice a day and went to school. It was her first year wrestling (she was a senior) but she kicked much ass and got tons of respect. She was so good that she recieved a full ride for women's wrestling. One day, after completing her second practice of the day she admitted to me that she had been raped that day by an acquaintance. The guy was 180lbs! He kept telling her he was doing it because he loved her. She kept telling him to stop. I got her to go to the police and fill out a report. Since then she has had her reputation run through the mud. He was recorded and interviewed and he admitted the whole thing. The prosecuting lawyer (the guy on her side) treats her horribly. She's lost all faith in the system. She's the victim. He is not. I really believe in vigilante justice right about now.
