Rear body mount on a K5

Ok, I'm back to working on the K5's bodymounts. I got all of them loose and some on one side the new uppers are in. Problem is the lower one on the very back. I have the rear bumper and tailgate off. Do I need to drop the gas tank to get the lower mount on in the very back? I can't see any other way to get the lower mount in the frame. It is a 90 K5 if that makes any difference. TIA.

I am pretty sure that you are going to have to drop the tank. Here's a pic I took of my truck a few weeks ago. That big hole in the top of the frame behind the spring hanger is where the rear body bushing goes.

Yep, I know where it goes. I was just hoping I was missing something and it could be done without dropping the tank.

The weird "bracket" that is in there can't be pulled without dropping the tank. It's the piece the bumper supports bolt to.
