If I use the caddy calipers, does anyone know if the parking break lever off other year calipers will work with the 76-78 year model calipers? I see a lot of 79-85 calipers with the parking break lever on them. Was curious if I could use that lever on a set of 75-78 calipers.

I use Fleetwood or Seville levers and brackets on my Eldo calipers.

I have mine adjusted pretty good. I can set the parking brake and leave it in neutral on a hill and it won't move. Oh yeah i forgot to say that my blazer also weighs just over 6000 lbs.

Dad blew a front brake hose on his truck (over 6000lb rig) up in the mountains two weekends ago, used the rear disks to get home. Even on wet logging roads he was able to control the rear disks enough that skidding/sliding from too much brake pressure was not a problem. Stock braking other than the Cadillac disk swap.

Thanks, thats the kind of info I am looking for. How well they work and how well the parking break works. Thanks a lot.

I'd have to ask him again, I know on his driveway my properly adjusted 14SF drum brakes won't hold my truck nose up, I *think* his rear disks hold his (heavier) truck nose up. I'll ask.
