I have a 73 2wd blazer with a 12 bolt rear end and I wanted to know what my rear end gear ratio is? The option code on the build sheet is 1ZN8, optional axle ratio. If you can answer this question please let me know what sort of code and option book you got this out of and where I can find one. J541R @aol.com

i do not know what the code stands for, but there should be a tag on the axle that tells the ratio. if there is not one or you suspect that it may have been changed; you can raise the rear end and turn the tires and count the turns of the tires compared to the turns of the drive shaft. it is a little work, but if you gotta know. i know this works because i did this to find the ratio on an iroc i had.
