Brand new GM performance crate engine”K” code, has a loud squeal from the rear of the engine after it hits 210 degrees on the temp gage, checked torque converter, flywheel, found that the housing is culprit by using stethoscope.
So, remove it , to find the small tabs in the housing BEHIND the seal flange are making contact with the crank and causing a “squeal”
Question is, can we clearance these tabs without causing issues, I will include pics of an old crank and housing that I had at home to just check the parts as they fit together, but they look really tight, even on the old one, but I’ve NEVER SEEN THIS BEFORE!!!
Ps never mind including the pics, I’m on iPhone and can’t figure out how to get them on here, if you want to se them , let me know and I’ll text them
