Open up the cover and read the serial number stamped on the ring gear first set of numbers are serial numbers, then the last four are gear teeth and date issued.
    Looks like this
    234532324 11 41 2 87
The 11 41 is the gear size which ='s 41 teeth on the ring gear and 11 teeth on the pinon
    divide 41 by 11 = 3.73
If the numbers are not showing on the ring gear, you will need to elevate the tires and spin the drive shaft until they are visible
Hope this helps, really a simple process
If you cannot figure out the numbers post them here and we will help you out.
Or you could always jack the end of the truck up and spin the tire, then count the number of times the drive shaft spins per one rotation of the tire.
Taking the cover off is easier pluss you can clean it out in there with brake cleaner and change the gear oil.

Do you still have your RPO code sticker somewhere on your truck?
