I am having my stock Q-jet rebuilt sometime in the near future! I was told that the throttle linkage is worn out, which causes it to stick when returing to idle and makes it idle at about a 1,000 rpm. If I punch the throttle real quick it drops down to around 550. So, I am going to have it completly rebuilt. Will this help my performance, and give me a little better mileage, or I am I just reaching her? Thank you! [IMG]

If the throttle shaft was really the problem, and you can now keep the idle down, it may go up some.
