Anyone ever replaced inner and outer rocker panels on a 1st generation K5? Any tips greatly appreciated. I am a drive line man (anything from the engine to the axels) but decided not to farm out my body work on this project. I know it won't be perfect my first go round but I /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gifwould like to give it a try......practice makes perfect, or so they say.

Well the outers should be easy to come by. I Think the inners is just a flat peice of metal. The rocker boxes is where the real trouble comes in. If the rocker box is rotted out it will have to be custom fabricated.
You might check out this site. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/ They are more street rod orinted for the 67-72 trucks. I know you will get more info on where to find parts as well as body work help.
