The steering wheel tilt unit flops about, is loose as the proverbial goose & turn signal return is broken, previous owner had pulled steering at one time & goofed up reinstallation.

I pulled the steering wheel and removed screws for the plastic components (so can get at tilt mechanism) but cannot get the hazard switch out so the rest of it can be removed. (two Haynes books and nada on the problem, did a search here on C. K-5, nothing)

Any ideas as to how the hazard switch releases.? I have examined but can see nothing to allow it to be pulled out, don't want to get western with it and screw it up even worse.

Found it, was a cap on the outer end of switch, pried off & underneath was a screw, removed, and hazard switch came right off.

Tilt unit was cratered. Pulled steering column, rather than rebuild, seems the best option to replace with one (if can find) from wrecking or recycling yard.

Anyone have an idea of fair price for used steering column complete?
