I'm going to replace my bed sides soon on my 1986 K5 Blazer. I just wanted to know if both inner and outer panels get removed. Or just the outer panel.

the whole thing...
It's all one part and a real PITA to remove. 
Not when ya have 142 different air hammer bits... 
But yeah, they started spotwelding more of it in the 80's, wheelwells, etc.. My 77 had WAY more bolted...
