what to get and what to avoid

    heres my thoughts
new 230hp crate motor from GM 1500
    new 700 raptor 1500
    <font color=blue>need a good source for transfer case<font color=black>
just had the gears all rebuilt
picked up all new parts for the brakes from napa
also order a new steering gear box from napa
a few months back had all new tie rods and ball joints replaced including
    shocks and sway bar bushings
<font color=blue>need a good source for stock height spring front and rear dealer does not have rear and can not get<font color=black>
replaceing the interior and changing the color from grey to tan leather
would like to add a factory tack where the fuel gauge is now,
but i need a good source for all of the interior trim pieces including the dash bezel
    <font color=blue>also i need a breather assembly<font color=black>
we just moved to hilton head SC and my assembly was lost in the move
and the dealer wants near 300 for one should i go after market like K&amp;N i have nothing on the tbi as it is so i will require a complete system
    looking for any ideas
i have looked at some new trucks, and for 1/4 of the money i can restore mine
and have a far better rig

    It needs a bigger motor.
    what's in it now?
doen't matter it NEEDS A BIGGER MOTOR

Transfer case and breather assembly should be available from a salvage yard. The 241 case should be easy to get. As for the springs I would just go with a 2" lift and get a set of 33's.[IMG] Also look for the trim at the salvage yard too.

Most of the interior trim is still available threw the dealer too. As for a motor step up to the 300 HP Chevy Crate Motor, you'll be happy you did. I had the 230 HP, but it lost the oil seals on 2 cylinders and I had it replaced with the 300HP motor and I am much happier. Make sure you get the warranty on the crate motor too. My 230 HP went down after 15K and was warrantied along with $500 for the 300HP. Another good place for interior is LMC Truck.
