do you know what knuckles he used to do this with? i have a d60-hd i would like to put front end parts on and run up front....did he have a shop fab this up or is it a job a pipe fitter could handle? you would have to run reverse cut gears also wouldn't you?

i asked him about it and its a pretty big job to take on.

he said it came out (with the custom nuckles and shafts) just as much as a dana 60 would have, just a hell of alot beefier

I bought mine with the intent of being offroad only. With gas prices now I wouldn't want a K5 for my daily driver unless it was get at least 20mpg

Yep, I dd mine until gas went up over $2.50, so I just bought a carolla that gets 34 mpg in the city much better than 8

so it came out of where with the knuckles and shafts? gm? i have a 60-hd and my 14b ff don't hold a candle to it as far as beefy......i guess its the hd casting it is gusseted everwhere and the gussets have piecies cast like t bar on all of them...its one chunkiy piece...where did the custom knuckles and shafts come from? did he do it himself? or did a driveline shop make it...or gm do it ....it has to run reverse cut gears doesn't it? i would like to know more about this as i want to make me 1?
