Sad news, rest in peace Bob.

Sad to hear. I always remember he helped my buddy @B_to_C find the Dana 60 for his K5 probably 16 years ago. That axle is still under his rig today.

I just talked to Susan, Bob's sister. He was on heavy meds the last couple of weeks and not really there. Her and her brothers thank everyone for their condolences and thoughts. He is going to reside with his parents in a VA cemetery in Massachusetts.

This was the third friend this year that I have had to keep other people in the loop for, so the families were not being inundated with questions.

So third loss this year.

Bob's sister left me a message this evening.

He passed on August 17th. She has been too distraught to take my calls.

I am supposed to talk to her tomorrow.

RIP brother.

That sucks! At least he is pain free now, RIP brother!

Bob was a tough nut to crack sometimes, always too proud to accept help, even when it was obviously needed... I know more than a few of us offered up help when his roof was in such bad shape, but he did things his way.
I felt a special kinship to Bob, I guess because we were about the same age and shared a lot of odd background stories.... He will be missed...

Bobs novels were tough to get through some times. Sometimes the Cliff Notes were needed. But the stories always felt genuine and honest and from a good place. Never met the man. I don’t consider there to be an afterlife but if I were to get so lucky as to bump into him, that would be nice. RIP Diesel

There was a “zombie” post a few months ago and as I was reading one of replies I thought, “This guy sounds just like D4M”. Then I scrolled up and saw the date and his name. It was kind of surreal.
