rocker cancer (help!!!!)

 thank you for the education. i suppose this zinc would be available near water........look at my locale! but zinc must be installed prior to rusting. hmm. how expensive is it? in what forms does it come?

I think you're better off just doing what other people have been suggesting and just replace the rockers with rock sliders instead. You could use the zinc in some form or another to attach the aluminum panels, so then you just have to reattach the panels with more zinc when they start to fall off.

Rock sliders would be stronger and improve trail capability though.

allright inu...i agree about the rock sliders...the aluminum was merely an asthetic repair..but for my own knowledge, where does one get zinc? can it be welded? how much is it and in what specific form does it come? sheets? tubes? rods? angle?

im guessing everyones using 3x3 square tube cause its the same size as the rocker? cause i went and cut down my basketball pole thinking it was 3x3 but its only 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 so i was wondering if its useable?

Rocker panel $$$

LMC rocker inner and outer for about $25. You can probably get them locally at another distributor. If in HS check with the shop teacher. May be able to save you some more money thru the school. My GM tailgate was about $275
