Don't rely on color availability to pinpoint the year of the truck. Most municipalities order white vehicles for civil service duty and paint them accordingly. In the case of the movie roll, this truck could've been any color and the film crew could've painted it whatever tan for the movie.

thanks! That is the same roll bar...looks like all the 74 models have it....maybe they installed one for the movie or it was a late 73 model.

The roll bar was only an option in '74, and it became standard in '75. My '73 has no roll bar, and I don't think a rollbar was available until '74 IIRC.

Craig is the man but unfortunately the wood grain trims were the same in 73 and 74. It would be the dark walnut trim.

Thanks! Yes the interior woodgrain in '73-'74 is the same dark walnut. Interior appointments between '73-'74 are virtually indistinguishable from each other.
