Roof Rack?

did you also use a backing plate on the inside of the roof where it bolted thu? i think that might be a good idea. less stress on sheet metal.

mine had the factory cheesey roof rack, but i'm going to use the same mounting points that are already there. it will most likely have 45ed corners or squar corners sense i don't have a bender.

how tall was yours? i'm thinking in the 6-8" range....

Yes each mount had a big one piece backing plate for both bolts. Mine was 6" tall overall from the top of the top rail to the bottom of the floor, so in a sense 5" tall inside the basket which was plenty of height for me and I also 45'ed the corners cause of a lack of a bender too. Was easy as hell to make too.
